About Caren Cameron (1949-2021)

Caren's distinguished career as an educator, author and motivator inspired thousands of children and professionals. People appreciated her honest, caring and supportive ways, but most importantly they learned more about themselves from their time with Caren.

Caren was a person of professional integrity and she possessed a remarkable talent to use simple language to explain complicated matters. She was loved by many and respected by all who were fortunate enough to get to know her. She was a prairie girl who grew to love Victoria BC. Caren shared her expertise widely, travelling throughout BC, the Arctic and to the tropics to work with a variety of educators around their shared vision: to create and implement practical ways to support and enhance student learning.

Following the passing of her husband Wayne King, Caren devoted her considerable talents to understanding and simplifying the complexity of grief and the grieving process. We believe these resources she created carry forward her work and deepen our own understandings around death, grief and, of course, love.

It is our honour to share Caren’s gifts with you.
